openCode is the central platform for Germany's public administration when it comes to the use of open source software. Solutions that are already in use in the public sector can be found in a catalog, and the administration community can discuss, make recommendations or launch joint initiatives in the forum.
If required, the source code with version management can be hosted directly in a connected GitLab or mirrored from other repositories, which has also brought OpenCulturas there.
openCode is provided by the Zentrum für Digitale Souveränität der Öffentlichen Verwaltung (ZenDiS), the "center for digital sovereignty in public administration".

Structured data :-)
Exemplary—the open source standard publiccode is used to import structured project information. The required file publiccode.yml provides information about features, purposes, available languages and much more. We have made the file part of the software. This means that the software description can be read by any other information platforms, as long as they adhere to the standard.
Update 02/2025: The platform underwent a redesign at the beginning of this year and will be continuously developed in terms of usability. We will occasionally replace the screenshot with a more up-to-date one.
